This sonic sculpture communicates through complex interconnected paths that breathe as natural forces allow them to adapt. The track begins with a prickly textural abstraction, both organic and mechanical, and then continues to a melodic and psychedelic outgrowth of the original movement. Unified by layers of recordings the first half of REFERENCE is shaped by the experiences of the past, not directly representational but guided by spiritual and intellectually developed sonic imagery. The floating quality of atonal noise creates a moving mirage of thoughts and memories that are shifted and refracted through the second movement.
